Bell
Choir:
We are so excited about this upcoming year because we
have received a WONDERFUL gift of 3 octaves of real
bells (instead of the bell plates that we've been
playing and that you see pictured at the left.)
This summer all those interested in playing the bells
will be invited to a "master class" to help us
understand these new and wonderful instruments.
Our rehearsals will start up again on August 31st at
5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. If you think you
may be interested in joining this fun and rewarding
choir, please call the church office or speak with Sue
Trukken.
Dance:
Our dance ensemble is made up of young ladies from the
congregation with some experience in dance. They
work together to choreograph dance routines to
contemporary Christian music and offer these in the
worship services several times through out the year.
They meet on agreed upon Saturdays
while preparing a routine. If you are interested
in participating in this spiritual art, contact Sue
Trukken or the Church office.
Drama:
Everyone needs a little drama in their lives; it keeps
things interesting, right? Well, we look at our
Drama as adding an exclamation point in the middle of
the worship services. Sue Trukken reads through
100's of scripts to find exactly the
right skit to present. We do everything from
monologues to readers' theater. We meet in the
Sanctuary at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesdays as needed to prepare
a specific presentation. Drama is open to all
ages, the only prerequisite is a willingness to "act
out" in front of the congregation! Does this sound like
you or do you want more information? Please call
Sue Trukken or the Church Office.
Orchestra:
Our instrument ensemble is fast becoming an orchestra.
This group is open to all ages and abilities ~ we only
ask that you have a love of God and the music we use to
worship Him. This ensemble meets
almost every Sunday at 11:15 a.m. during the
regular musical season to rehearse specially
orchestrated music, arranged
by Sue Trukken, to accompany the regular worship
services once a month. Special attention is given
to the Christmas and Easter season when the ensemble
joins the combined choirs for extra-ordinary celebration
music! We would welcome any new additions to the
"orchestra" ~ if you're interested in this awesome
opportunity in the music ministry please contact Sue or
the Church Office for more information.
Strings:
We're really working on growing the strings group.
This is for strummed instruments such as guitar, bass,
banjo, mandolin etc. This group meets on Thursdays
at 5:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. They accompany
the congregation on hymns once a
month and also prepare some special music for preludes
and offertories. We would love to add some more
participants in this group, if you're interested please
call Sue Trukken or the Church Office.
