Care Ministries

The Care Ministry Board serves the members of First Congregational Church during their times of need.  This care is provided through a variety of ministries.

Care Notes: In the Narthex there is a display with Care Notes.  These pamphlets address many issues that confront members: death, divorce, illness and much more.  Please take time to take a look.  If you have a specific topic in mind and do not see a care note that addresses it, please contact Dorothy Coen or the church office.

Flowers: Special bouquets of flowers are taken weekly to those who are shut-in, ill, or just in need of something to brighten their day.  If you know someone like this, contact Wilma Kinsloe or the church office.

Hospitality: Refreshments following a memorial service or a special recognition event at church are taken care of by the Care Ministry Board.  If you have a need in this area, or would like to assist, call Karyn Smith or the Church office.

Meals: If circumstances prevent you from preparing a meal, the Care Ministry will see that one is delivered to your home.  There are many members of the church who volunteer thier culinary services to the the Care Ministry Board.  If you need a meal or may be able to prepare a meal, contact Joanne Dobson, Jeri Biddle or the Church Office.

Transportation: If you are in need of a ride and are unable to drive yourself, the Care Ministry Board and volunteers from the church would be happy to pick you up at your home and take you wherever you need to go.  Call Jeri Biddle or the church office.

Visitation: Pastor Dreese visits regularly those in the hospital and those at home in need.  If you or someone you know is in need of a special visit, please call the church office.
