Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas – Friday, December 18th at 6:30 p.m.

Our Blue Christmas is a sacred space for anyone who wants to slow down and make room for hope during the Advent season. It is for everyone, and it may be a special blessing for those who find the holidays difficult or heavy this year. Together, we will acknowledge the complicated feelings that can arise during this season while also making space for the wonder at the heart of Advent: God enters not a perfect world, but this world, meeting us in all its beauty, brokenness, longing, and hope.

Advent invites us to wait with honesty, pray with the whole Church, and trust that God is already at work in the midst of our longing.

If you have never attended a Blue Christmas gathering before, we especially encourage you to give it a try this year. Together, First Congregational Church, Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, Ramona United Methodist Church, and St. Mary’s-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church welcome you into a quiet, prayerful space where we can pause, breathe, and rediscover the hope of God’s presence through scripture, prayer, and music.

Come as you are. Make room for hope. Find rest for your soul.
