What to expect at FCC
At First Congregational Church of Ramona, you can expect a warm, welcoming community where everyone belongs. Our worship gatherings are casual and comfortable—some people choose to dress up a little, but many come in casual clothing, and a few even worship barefoot! However you come, you’ll be welcomed just as you are.
For families, we offer childcare at both our 8:45am and 10am gatherings for children ages 4 and under, and during the 10:00 a.m. service there’s Sunday School for children of all ages. If your children would like to stay with us in the sanctuary for worship they are MORE THAN welcome! But if they would rather go to Sunday School, you can walk them back toward the Youth Building for Sunday School (follow the signs or as one of our ushers or friendly members where the Sunday School classes are located). Sunday School classes are combined, so children K-6th grade are together. We have awesome Sunday School teachers who will take wonderful care of your kids and ensure they learn and have a great time in a safe and welcoming environment. Sometimes, the children start out in the Sanctuary before heading over to Sunday School, in which case there’ll be a sign letting you know.
When you arrive at church, you’ll be greeted with a smile and given a bulletin to help you follow along with the service. At our 8:45 a.m. worship gathering, the lyrics to the songs are printed right in the bulletin. At our 10:00 a.m. gathering, we sing from the hymnal (a book of hymns found in the seatback in front of you), with hymn numbers listed in the bulletin for easy reference. You’ll also notice times when you’re invited to stand—these moments are marked with an asterisk (*) in the bulletin.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been here for years, you’ll find a place to worship, connect, and deepen your faith.
