Celebrating the 2025 Harvest Fair
As we settle into this season of change and gratitude, we are filled with joy looking back on the wonderful day we shared at the Harvest Fair on Saturday, October 11th. It was a day of warmth, community, laughter, and abundance — and we are so grateful for every person who joined us.
From the start, the fair was about community — neighbors, friends, and families coming together. Our tables were filled again (thank you to everyone who helped put them back!), and the aroma of soup simmering, the sight of pies cooling, children running with laughter, and volunteers greeting everyone with open hearts made the day truly special. The spirit of hospitality was tangible, and it reminded us of what we do best together: open doors, shared meals, and generous spirits.
We were delighted to see that Regina Elling of the Ramona Sentinel captured this day so beautifully in her article titled “Soups, pies and friends come together at Ramona Harvest Fair.” Her thoughtful coverage honored the warm spirit of the event and the heart behind our congregation’s efforts. While the link to the article is available online, we’ll simply say: thank you, Regina — your words reflected our joy and mission perfectly.
Highlights from the Day
Soup & Pie Stations: From hearty chili to pumpkin pie, we enjoyed offerings from our incredible volunteers. The variety and generosity were a feast for the senses and a mark of our church’s community and fellowship.
Youth and Families: Children ran between vendor booths, families visited with one another, and volunteers from our youth ministry helped carry things and welcome guests. It was a true inter-generational moment of connection.
Hospitality at Work: Behind the scenes, many helped set up, cleaned up, rearranged tables, and made sure each guest felt welcomed. Your service is a silent but powerful witness.
Community Reach: Beyond our congregation, we warmly welcomed members of the Ramona community who may not attend church regularly but who came for a good meal and good company. That kind of welcoming is central to our identity.
Our faith calls us into the world, not to withdraw from it. This fair was more than a fundraiser or a social event—it was a living expression of our commitment to being a sign of hope and hospitality in Ramona. We came together, not just to share food, but to share presence, generosity, and community. That matters.
Thanks to the article and to all of you, our story reaches further than walls and pews. Let’s build on this momentum:
Keep inviting neighbors to our upcoming events (like the Free Farmer’s Market, the Monday Night Open Door meal, and the upcoming BINGO event).
Consider how the spirit we felt on October 11th — the open welcome, the shared work, the abundant kindness — can shape all that we do in the year ahead.
Heartfelt Thanks To every guest who attended, to every volunteer who served, to every pie-maker, soup-stirrer, greeter, and cleaner-upper: THANK YOU. Your time, effort, and love made this day memorable. And to Regina Elling and the Ramona Sentinel: thank you for shining a light on our story, helping us extend our welcome into the larger Ramona community.
May the seeds sown at this fair continue to bear fruit in the friendships formed, the connections deepened, and the love shared. We carry this forward with grateful hearts.
